Haley Richardson is the most acclaimed teenage Irish fiddler in the U.S.A. Earlier this year, she won the senior “Fiddler of Dooney” competition in County Sligo, the first Yank to do so since Kathleen Collins in 1968. Haley started on the violin at age three and later supplemented classical studies with Irish fiddling tutelage from New York great Brian Conway. She already has an impressive resume that includes an under-12 All-Ireland championship, her solo CD Heart on a String and performances with Cherish the Ladies, Mick Moloney’s Green Fields of America and the John Whelan Band. For this performance, Haley will be accompanied by Canadian jazz guitarist Quinn Bachand.
