This Detroit-based fiddle and uilleann pipes duo have been building a great reputation for their tight duet playing, original repertoire and thorough mastery of Irish traditional style. Alison learned her music from the respected County Clare fiddle player Mick Gavin, a mentor to many Detroit-area Irish traditional musicians, and went on to tour with her family group Finvarra's Wren and with Galway singer/flute player Seán Keane. Nicolas, born in Illinois and raised in Ontario, is one of North America's finest exponents of the world's most sophisticated form of bagpipes. Together they recorded an outstanding 2016 recording, All Covered with Moss. This will be their New York concert debut.
