Fiddle player Bernadette Nic Gabhann is a member of a distinguished Irish-speaking County Meath musical family. Her father, fiddle great Antóin Mac Gabhann, originally from County Cavan, is a pillar of the traditional music community in Ireland and her sister Caitlin is a well-known concertina player and step dancer. A veteran of many a fleadh and festival, Bernadette has toured with Lord of the Dance and recorded with the trans-Atlantic group NicGaviskey and as a soloist on her recent CD Here to Play.
